Dr. Richard Jackson
Dr. Jackson has practiced psychiatry for over 30 years, and has extensive experience in a wide variety of clinical and administrative settings. He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, and completed his residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals, in Milwaukee. He is licensed as a physician in Tennessee, and is board certified in psychiatry, by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is a member of the American Medical Association and the Tennessee Medical Association.
Dr. Jackson's main area of professional interest is in treatment of individuals with resistant and complex depressive and anxiety disorders, with the goals of achieving lasting remission of symptoms, maximizing quality of life, and restoring personal and occupational functioning. Dr. Jackson has studied extensively about ketamine's role in treatment-resistant depression and anxiety. He has treated patients with ketamine in his private practice since 2015.
Dr. Jackson also maintains a private practice of general psychiatry, the Tennessee Center for Innovative Psychiatry.
Dr. Jackson's other main area of professional interest is in non-surgical aesthetic and anti-aging medicine. Since 2013, he has been medical director of Changes Medical Spa and Laser Center, in Johnson City, Tennessee.
